Gabrielle Venguer, b. Mexico City, 1991. MA Fashion Knitwear Womenswear, Royal College of Art, London (2019). Graduate Diploma Fashion, Central Saint Martins, London (2017). Lives and works in Mexico City where she has her workshop and label since 2020.

Gabrielle Venguer is a textile artist and designer working between garments, objects, and performance. Her practice is rooted in material exploration and in the relationship between the body and its environment.

Her process is physical, beginning with repetitive actions such as felting, tying, weaving, and assembling. These gestures require time and attention, but also a form of listening. She doesn’t impose form; she works with resistance, softness, and friction, allowing the material to guide decisions.

Through wearable pieces and performative situations, she explores how connection happens beyond language, through movement, weight, sound, and proximity. Her work invites interaction, where garments become tools for collective experience rather than individual expression.

She experiments with the dialectics of delicacy vs roughness, sensuality vs comfort, existing systems vs the ominous, in search of something between grace and savage.

Every piece is constructed to be felt, in the body, by the room. Leather that moves with you. Knit that breathes like skin. Silhouettes that don’t ask for permission.
